for the kombucha mushroom people. i have started to grow, yes grow, my own kombucha mother from store bought kombucha.
all you need is a good bottle of store bought kombucha that is plain and unpasteurized. you need to reserve 1/2 cup of the kombucha and all the floaty pieces and sediment on the bottom. this store bought brand is what i'm using:
other ingredients include brewing a small amount of black tea with sugar in it to feed the culture. you combine the two and wait for the mother to grow out of the floaty parts you reserved from the original bottle. they need to be covered during cultivation.
